Bulgaria is becoming one of the most popular countries for tourism last few years. There are still any locations that haven't been discovered yet. If you are looking for an up and coming resort, Bulgaria is the country to start your search.

Bulgaria have the economy growing at 6% per year and unemployment falling fast (just 10% currently). The economy is very quickly integrating into the EU standarts after the membership in 2007. Internal investment continues apace with international organisations predicting continued economic prosperity for the foreseeable future. Big interest for investors in the property market are coastal beach resorts of the Black Sea - Sunny Beach, Golden Sands, Ravda and etc. If you are looking to invest in property in Bulgaria, you can now choose between the great beach resorts, mountain ski resorts, historic villages or the capital city of Sofia. The tourism industry in Bulgaria is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in Europe. The number of tourists visiting the country reached 5 millions in 2006. Rental opportunities for right Bulgaria property are very high. This makes proprties in Bulgaria a good opportunity for investment with good profit.

Also Bulgaria has made a bid to host the 2014 Winter Olympics. If they have success the olympics would be in Vitosha (Sofia), Bansko and Borovets. If this was to go ahead then there would be great improvements within those areas. Tis will give you a very good chance of gains on your property investments. Also the bulgarian currency leva is stable and linked to the Euro. This together with the fact that Bulgaria is politically and economically stable after it's membership in EU and NATO and it is good strategic geographic location that would indicate a good return on property investment there is possible.

If you decide to buy a property in Bulgaria for an investment or for a holiday home, then do lots of research to see which area you would prefer to buy in. Ask lots of questions of your agent or in Bulgaria Property forums. You also can ask here and I will try to answer to your question. Also visit the areas you have short-listed.
